# Astute

> Astute is a workflow app platform built around reusable foundation primitives.

Astute helps builders create workflow apps without rebuilding the same foundation every time. The shared foundation covers requests, cases, tasks, approvals, roles, audit, live runtime state, branded app surfaces, provider rails, and deployment control.

Astute Cloud is the hosted public platform. Builders and teams can build branded workflow apps on Astute-managed foundation primitives.

Astute Enterprise brings the same platform model inside a company. Enterprises can use their own brands, microfrontends, providers, policies, identity, audit, deployment controls, runtime environments, and self-hosted options where contracted.

Astute is not positioned as a generic no-code template library. The core product is the reusable foundation underneath workflow apps.

## Demo and proof posture

The current provider-rails demo is a deterministic contract and governance proof. It allows the approved Astute/reference provider, denies a candidate provider with `provider_candidate_only`, records missing capability requests such as `missing-capability-provider-rails-risk-score`, and does not expose raw provider payloads, secrets, direct production mutation, or live vendor execution.
